Revival, Renewal, Innovation & Livelihood were the key themes for this retrospective. The Vimor Foundation works with handloom clusters across India to revive and showcase ancient forgotten weaves collected through their oral history programs.

Let the drapes do the talking #sareenotsorry

A walk around the space is a lesson in history. Our design involved display mechanisms that reflected stories of heritage textiles, not all of which were in good condition.

Using the architecture of Bangalore International Centre, we played with various kinds of drapes and lengths in order to display the sarees in visually engaging ways.

Each section was designed with a specific theme. The Gandhi Collection hung delicately over pinewood step ladders while the cottons spilled over into the floor below.
